A point singularity is what lies at the center of a black hole.
Theoretically nothing escapes from a black hole...it is a place of infinite gravity, a one way trip into oblivion.
However, as one approaches the singularity, one should also approach the speed of light. As one approaches the speed of light, ones personal time slows down. This would make the trip into the hole last forever. I hope you spend a lot of time here.
Also, it has been observed that occasionally information can escape a black hole. Look for that here.
