[[2007 Agendas]]

== March 8, 2009 ==
The next meeting is March 8, right after the show.

The taking of gift cards at the sales table (they look like regular credit cards) My suggestion is to take them from people we know. getting full contact information and writing it on back of charge slip.

Also if the Credit Card Amounts are to low The Treasurer won't run them until we have other charge activity because of the cost. I suggest we quit taking charges at small events like Academy or only for large amounts, The amounts to be determined by the EC. I will check with Tech Soup for a company that might charge less if at all to process charges. Example for Chattacon weh had 48.00 in Charges Echo would have charged 20.00 to process the charges so we would have made 28.00 dollars in charge sales. We need to find a cheaper processor. Because We will start to loose customers who use debit cards by waiting to process the charge to long it messes up the checking account. I know I use a debit card for most of my purchases.

Cassette Tapes Liberty would be not only delighted but grateful to take them off our hands for their charity auction.

Regarding the POS software we need to have it up a running by LibertyCon Introducing a new program at Dragon would be impossible. Also please be aware that you will not get all the information on the customer with every sale. It simply is not possible. Sales comes in waves. We will do our best to collect it when we can but the sale is primary, information will be our last concern.
All the above was submitted by Nancy by Direction from Oreta

LibertyCon 2012 is their 25th Anniversary. They are planning a major blowout and we are a part of those plans our show should be extra special.

Keychains have been mentioned a few times before. Here's my take on any kind of promo item we might want to produce:

* It should be able to support our logo clearly (the lanyards were so small they had trouble with this)
* It should be useful in some way (this lets out things like balloons)
* It should be visible. One of the most important reasons to produce an item like this is to try to get other people to be walking billboards for us. T-shirts are an excellent example. Bumper stickers are as well. Keychains are OK, but rather small...I would want to get them cheap. You get the idea.

--dB 5/1/07

When did we do CD Portfolios as I remember those were done in limited number by the Kiernans as Christmas presents. I don't think they have ever been for sale or used as a promo. However I think they would be a good item for sale<br/>
Nancy

You are correct, Nancy, they were done as Christmas presents by the Kiernii. I think we looked briefly at the idea of having them, but they were deemed too expensive.

--dB 5-3-07

We have our 25th anniversary coming up in January 2009 we need to start working on this now. I would like to see an anniversary t-shirt at the very least. I am going to ask for some more pens at the next officers meeting. Those have been very useful. But the item that was the most useful and the best seller was the totebags.

When did we do CD Portfolios as I remember those were done in limited number by the Kiernans as Christmas presents. I don't think they have ever been for sale or used as a promo. However I think they would be a good item for sale
